Jason Welcomes You To The Fox, North Luffenham

Jason Allen is the the proud proprietor of The Fox Country Pub and Dining. Jason also lives in the village of North Luffenham. His life long ambition was always to own his own village pub, that delivers excellent customer service, as well as playing an active part in the local community.

Following a successful career in retail, his first pub venture took place in the year 2002 when he acquired and refurbished The Kings Arms in Wing, Rutland. He then moved on to an even bigger challenge when he purchased the Horse and Jockey in Manton. “The Jockey” as its affectionately known by locals, also underwent a complete transformation. It is now one of the busiest and much loved pubs in Rutland and has won numerous awards. These include Camra Pub of The Season, The East Midlands Tourism Silver Award for “Best Pub Experience”, and most recently in 2014, The Visit England Bronze national award for best tourism pub. After 14 years at the helm in 2019 Jason sold his freehold interest in The Jockey to achieve an improved work lifestyle balance and also fulfil his ambition to self-build a house along with further developing The Fox and Paddock campsite on Rutland water.

Of course Jason doesn’t take full credit for his pub’s achievements, and is extremely grateful and proud of his dedicated, hard working and loyal team. Richard Page Operations Manager, oversees the running of the pub and has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry along side a passionate team in the kitchen. The team have a clear commitment to exceeding customers expectations by delivering excellent customer service.
